Success for Nonprofit Audit Preparation Program (SNAPP)
Financial management, compliance, and audit preparation support for cities in the Arctic Slope region.
SNAPP helps municipal organizations strengthen financial practices, improve audit readiness, and maintain grant eligibility. The program meets each organization where it is — regardless of staffing size, accounting system, or audit history — and provides practical, tailored support through virtual meetings, document review, CPA guidance, and workshop-based learning.

In June 2026, ASCF is launching a modified version of SNAPP available at no cost to participating cities. In-person site visits are only available to clients in the original program.

How SNAPP helps NSB EIAP
The North Slope Borough's Energy Independence and Affordability Program (EIAP) distributes funding to Arctic Slope cities to support local energy needs. Receiving and managing that funding comes with financial reporting and compliance requirements that can be challenging for cities with limited administrative capacity.
SNAPP provides direct support to EIAP-participating cities — helping them set up documentation practices, track expenditures correctly, meet reporting deadlines, and maintain the financial controls that protect continued access to borough funding.
The video below, produced by the North Slope Borough, provides background on EIAP distribution and how it works for communities across the Slope.
